19 Year Old Young Man
A 19-year-old Chicago man was sentenced to 32 years in prison after pleading guilty in the death of a woman he shoved down the stairs of a CTA train station two years ago.
Prince Watson was running away from the El platform after stealing another passenger’s cellphone at the Fullerton stop at Sheffield on March 28, 2011.
Watson pushed 69-year-old Sally Katona King out of the way and she fell down the stairs.
She died the following day from her injuries. Her family described her as a loving woman, who served her community. She was on her way home from church on the day of the incident.
Watson read a statement in court saying he knows what he did was wrong and apologized to King’s family.
